Hot Water Heater Usage 101

The hot water heater (HWH) runs on EITHER Propane or 120v Electric (Plugged into campground or generator running). There is a switch on the control panel that turns the HWH on or off.  When this switch is on, the HWH will heat the water using propane as a standard. To run it on electric, the switch on the HWH itself must ALSO be on. Unless you are on an extended stay at a campground you are plugged into there is no need to run the HWH on electricity.  Propane is faster to heat, faster recovery and much more efficient for use.

Caution! NEVER try to turn on the hot water heater using electricity UNLESS the hot water tank is full!

This video is for the larger 12-gallon unit but it works exactly the same as Rover’s 6-gallon HWH.
