Slide Outs Operation 101
Please follow these instructions carefully. Some things to remember:
- The Slide-outs will only operate if the vehicle engine is NOT running.
- Ensure there is plenty of space outside BEFORE opening a slide-out.
- Ensure there are no obstructions on either side of the slide-out before ANY operation is attempted.
- Rover: Use the measuring stick (1/2-inch plastic pipe marked up) located in the large garage to be sure there is plenty of room for the slides to open.
- The slide is not an amusement park ride for the kids. The less weight on the slide while moving, the better.
- Please carefully check that no cabinet doors are open when retracting the slides.
The control panel on the fridge wall operates the living room slide. The switch is at the bottom left of the panel.
Living area slideout: To open or retract, press and hold the switch until you hear the cranking noise, then let go of the switch.
Rover: The bunk/bedroom slide-out is controlled by the switch on the wall between the bathroom and bedroom. To open or retract, press and hold the switch until you hear (listen carefully) the motor strain or stop, then let go of the switch. Do not let go until there is silence. The TWO motors synchronize at the end of going out or coming in.
The slides may be different manufacturers, in that, they may not have the same sounds, so listen carefully.
After retracting the slides, be sure the slides are in by checking outside for a tight fit against the body.
